Offer Description
The São Paulo State University's Center for Aquaculture (CAUNESP) in Jaboticabal, Brazil, is inviting applications for a post-doctoral fellowship. Applicants must have obtained their PhD degree less than seven years ago, except under the conditions set forth in Ordinance PR No. 171/2024, must not hold an employment contract, and must dedicate themselves exclusively to the research project. Candidates must demonstrate experience in aquaponics, biofloc systems, solid waste management, and environmental sustainability assessment to work on a bilateral project between CAUNESP and the Alfred-Wegener-Institut, Germany.
Interested applicants should send by email an updated Lattes CV (Curriculum Vitae for foreign applicants), a copy of their doctoral thesis (.pdf), a cover letter outlining their qualifications in the project areas, and two letters of recommendation to the project coordinator, Prof. Maria Célia Portella (maria.c.portella@unesp.br), with the subject line “Application for FAPESP PD Fellowship.” Communication skills in both English and Portuguese are required.
Applications close on March 30, 2026. The position is open to Brazilian and foreign applicants. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP Post-Doctoral Fellowship in the amount of R$ 12,570.00 per month, a Technical Reserve, and other benefits, when applicable.
