The Role:
Working closely with established Account Managers, the Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for identifying opportunities to grow JoVE’s K12 subscribers. The BDR plays a key role in the sales process, engaging potential subscribers at every stage—from initial prospecting through to closing.
Responsibilities:
* Review target territories with Account Managers and conduct active outreach to qualify leads
* Conduct cold calls, emails, and meetings to understand the user needs, priorities and timelines
* Schedule meetings or product demos for the sales team with qualified leads
* Collaborate with the marketing team to develop custom marketing materials
* Manage inbound leads as needed
Requirements:
* A Bachelor’s degree
* 2+ years of experience in sales, preferably within SaaS or Edtech markets
* Competitive, self-motivated, and resilient
* Excellent presentation skills, particularly in virtual settings (e.g., Zoom or other video platforms)
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Results driven with an ability to work independently
