Rio de Janeiro, Brazil Job Family Group: Human Resources Jobs Worker Type: Regular (FTC) (Fixed Term) Posting Start Date: April 8, 2026 Business Unit: Human Resources Experience Level: Early Careers Job Description: What’s the role Payroll Services Brazil is responsible for the administration of Payroll for approximately 700 employees, of taxes paid to the government authorities, that team should support our HR Operations in Manila to accurate and timely execution of payroll and remittances. The position provides an opportunity for an experienced Payroll Professional to utilize their expertise to manage the key activities associated with Payroll and Third-Party processing (supporting a domestic and expatriate population). The professionals will have the opportunity to be responsible for all aspects associated with the scope of Brazil Payroll and participate in local and global projects and initiatives. Will actively engage in our local, regional, and global organization, utilizing face to face and virtual connections to build working relationships with key contacts, participate in and promote a culture of innovation and Enterprise First behaviors with a continuous improvement (CI) mindset, share best practices with the team and work for improvements in service delivery and ensure accountability for evergreen end-to-end process documentation for business continuity purposes. The professional will also work with several different internal (i.e. HR & Finance Service Centre colleagues, HR in Country, Policy Benefits & Services, IMTC, Employment Tax, Employee’s and Line Managers) and external (i.e. Government Revenue Agency and PWC) stakeholders to resolve complex cases and provide exceptional customer service, with support from HR in the country and their Payroll Manager. The team members must ensure all financial controls (FCM) and Data Privacy Rules are accurately executed to fully address the business risk in an environment with high dollar materiality and safeguard from Data Privacy breaches. Accountabilities: Validate and reconcile payroll data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Brazilian labor and tax laws Support audits and provide necessary documentation for internal and external reviews. Respond to the queries from employees via Sales Force Case FI Backlog Analysis and follow-up action items to ensure outstanding open items are managed in the financial records. Prepare the report to send the Payroll Accounting team (DDR report) Generate the reports with amounts, prepare the form to send to Payments team to pay Income Tax and Social Security to the Authorities. Generate the reports with amounts, Prepare the form to send to the Payments team to pay the Alimony Perform the Darf Payments received from Vialto Work with external vendor (Vialto) regarding the Tax questions Ensure that Shell BR follows local legislation, and that the payroll will not impact on the License to Operate (CND) Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities Back up for executing Regular Payroll Back up for executing Vacation off cycle Back up for executing eSocial reports What you bring Must have legal authorization to work in Brazil on a full-time basis for anyone other than the current employer Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field. (Required) Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience in Global companies (Required) Experience with payroll system (SAP HCM) (Required) Experience with workday system Brazilian labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory reporting requirements.
