Plant Buyer II

Job Summary
The Plant Buyer II is responsible for procuring materials, components, and services essential for the manufacturing operations at the CROWN Amazonia plant, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery to support production schedules.
Job Responsibilities
Execute purchase orders for raw materials, MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) supplies, components, and services based on production plans and inventory levels.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to achieve favorable outcomes for the company.
Identify and evaluate new suppliers, conducting due diligence and fostering strong vendor relationships.
Monitor supplier performance, addressing issues related to quality, delivery, and compliance.
Collaborate closely with production, planning, and quality control teams to understand material requirements and resolve supply chain challenges.
Maintain accurate purchasing records, including supplier information, pricing, and order history.
Participate in inventory management activities, including demand forecasting and stock level optimization.
Assist in cost reduction initiatives and value engineering projects.
Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulations.
Prepare reports on purchasing activities, spend analysis, and supplier performance.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
Proven negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems.
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of supply chain best practices and inventory management principles.
Fluency in Portuguese is required, and proficiency in English is highly desirable.
