Job Description:Manager AccountingJob Summary:The Manager Accounting will provide the Controller with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts. The successful candidate will supervise and provide direction, training and guidance to the accounting staff.Key Job Responsibilities:Reviews and prepares consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from departments.· Reviews and prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling accounts.· Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures; recommending changes.· Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.· Work with CRC (CPA) firm personnel during year-end audit.· Responsible for the month-end close process and related financial analysis.· Effectively communicate with other departments regarding accounting related matters.· Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.· Monthly analyze the income statement accounts.· Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations.· Perform additional assignments as directed by the Corporate Controller.· Work with each direct report to establish goals and objectives for each year and monitor and advise on the progress.· Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:· Bachelor's degree in Accounting,· 5+ years prior supervisory experience in financial reporting/general ledger area· SOX reporting in a public companyPreferred qualifications:· CPA preferred· Master's degree or MBA· Previous public accounting or manufacturing industry experience is preferred· Previous data and systems analysis experience helpful, but not required· Advanced MS Excel proficiency· SAP accounting software experience· BlackLine Systems experience· Multi-ledger, multi-currency, global consolidation experience· Ability to work well with others under deadline situations and respond to changes in priorities.· Ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities and see projects through to completion.· Excellent written and verbal communication skills· Fluent English
