In this role, you will lead plumbing projects, perform advanced installations, repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting of plumbing systems.
The ideal candidate should possess extensive knowledge of plumbing codes and regulations, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and strong leadership skills.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze, diagnose, and resolve customer problems in a courteous, professional, timely, and accurate manner.
Identify potential problems to prevent premature or unexpected breakdowns or callbacks.Maintain and repair plumbing systems carrying water, steam, chemicals and fuel in heating, cooling, lubricating and other process piping systems by replacing defective washers, pipes, or clearing clogs.
Test joints and pipe systems for leaks.Assemble pipe sections, tubing, or fittings using appropriate methods and equipment; weld or solder where required.Locate and mark positions of pipe installations and fixtures; cut openings as needed.Install pipe assemblies and fixtures using hand or power tools; secure supports; cut openings to accommodate piping.Measure, cut, thread, or bend pipe to required angles; use pipe-cutting or bending machines as needed.Install underground storm, sanitary, or water piping systems and connect fixtures.Review blueprints, building codes, and specifications to determine work details; interpret drawings to plan installations around obstructions.Fill pipes or fixtures with water or air to detect leaks; inspect pressure gauges.Direct helpers engaged in pipe cutting, preassembly, or installation of plumbing systems.Ensure company property, vehicles, and tools are maintained and accounted for.Maintain current plumbing and/or gas licenses in accordance with regulations.Follow standard procedures and ensure vehicles are stocked and parts are managed as needed.Represent the company professionally, honestly, and ethically; perform duties as assigned.Health & Safety Roles and ResponsibilitiesReport unsafe acts, conditions, and hazards to supervisor immediately.Follow all safety policies and wear PPE as prescribed.Comply with applicable laws and company procedures; participate in safety initiatives or committees as required.Desired Skills and QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Proven experience as a Plumber Helper or 2+ years in plumbing.Thorough knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and best practices.Experience interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.Strong understanding of plumbing systems, materials, and tools.Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.Effective communication, leadership, and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.Valid driver\\'s license.Equal Employment Opportunity: Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning is an equal opportunity employer.
