We are seeking a skilled Podcast Audio Editor to join our team.
The Podcast Audio Editor will be responsible for editing podcast audio files, enhancing sound quality, implementing sound design, adding music, and ensuring overall quality control for each episode. This role involves working closely with the content team to maintain brand consistency and meet deadlines efficiently.
Responsibilities:
* Edit raw podcast audio into polished, broadcast-ready episodes
* Remove filler words, false starts, redundancies, and off-topic tangents
* Improve pacing, clarity, and flow without changing the speaker's voice or intent
* Restructure sections when needed based on how questions were answered
The ideal candidate will have proven experience editing long-form podcasts (interview or narrative style) strong editorial judgment excellent attention detail ability follow instructions precisely comfort working physician expert-level conversations fast reliable turnaround times clear professional communication familiarity tools like Descript Adobe Audition Pro Tools Logic similar qualifications proficiencies include: knowledge of Audio Editing including cleaning trimming fine-tuning audio files experience Sound Design ability enhance audio effects background elements knowledge of Sound Music production basics seamlessly incorporate them content strong Editing skills paired attention detail maintain high-quality output familiarity with software such as Adobe Audition or similar able work independently communicate teams effectively meet deadlines previous experience in podcast production is plus background in engineering media related field beneficial.
