Job Title: Procurement Operations Specialist – External Contract Manufacturing
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Operations Specialist to support procurement activities within the External Contract Manufacturing category. This role combines foundational procurement knowledge with hands-on transactional support, focusing on purchase order management, supply continuity, and project coordination.
The position is primarily administrative and operational in nature, requiring strong system proficiency, stakeholder collaboration, structured documentation, and supplier coordination. Commercial negotiations and contracting responsibilities will be managed by Category Managers.
Key Responsibilities
1. Purchase Order Management & Troubleshooting
* Identify and resolve purchase order discrepancies including pricing variances, delivery delays, and quality concerns.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure timely resolution of issues.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records within ERP systems.
2. Supplier Relationship Support
* Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key suppliers.
* Ensure alignment on performance expectations, KPIs, and scorecards.
* Support supplier performance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Act as a liaison between Procurement, business teams, and suppliers to facilitate smooth project execution.
3. ERP & System Management
* Utilize SAP and other ERP systems to manage procurement transactions and reporting.
* Generate and maintain reports, scorecards, and procurement documentation.
* Ensure data accuracy and compliance within procurement systems.
4. Organizational & Cross-Functional Coordination
* Manage multiple priorities while maintaining structured documentation and records.
* Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support supply continuity and project timelines.
* Monitor deliverables and ensure procurement initiatives are executed efficiently.
5. Project Support
* Apply basic project management principles to track progress and mitigate risks.
* Support procurement-related projects by ensuring operational readiness and timely execution.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
* Experience working with SAP and other ERP systems required.
* Experience with Coupa preferred.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
