Serve as a Key Business Liaison
This role specializes in serving as the primary liaison between Technology and specific business areas. As a key business liaison, you will identify and analyze business needs, conduct requirements gathering, and define scope and objectives.
The role involves recommending solutions or improvements to business processes that can be achieved through new technology or alternative uses of existing technology. You will evaluate business problems and assess the potential for automated solutions. Assist in identifying, evaluating, and developing specifications for systems and procedures that are cost-effective and meet business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Evaluate business problems and assess the potential for automated solutions.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, systems integration, and technology solutions that address the needs of business partners.
• Execute unit, integration, and acceptance testing for systems that align with business needs.
• Analyze business reporting, systems data, and relevant performance data to provide insights to business and IT leaders, supporting informed decision-making.
Leadership and Expertise:
• Recognized as a subject matter expert in the sub-function, typically achieved through advanced education and work experience.
• Manage large projects, processes, products, and systems with limited oversight from management.
• Provide coaching, review, and delegate work to lower-level professionals.
• Address IT-related problems that are difficult and moderately complex.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Typically requires a University Degree and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience.
• Skills in communication and stakeholder management, data analytics and reporting, data cleaning, structuring, and management, capacity management and prioritization, business/insurance acumen, and IT processes and systems.
• Exceptional verbal, analytical, and written communication skills – must be comfortable speaking and writing to C-level audiences, as well as technical audiences.
Preferred:
• Certification in CSM (Certified ScrumMaster) or PMP (Project Management Professional) is preferred.
