Leadership Opportunity in Cybersecurity and IT Engineering
We are seeking an experienced leader to join our Cybersecurity/IT Engineering team as a full-time Manager of IT. The ideal candidate is comfortable wearing many hats, including supporting end users, managing endpoints, automating identity and access management, and administering cloud-based IT systems and tools.
Job Description
The role involves participating in the design, implementation, and management of our growing corporate cloud-first infrastructure and networks. You will be passionate about innovation and creative problem solving, and adaptable to the ever-changing landscape of the corporate infrastructure environment.
This position reports to the Director of IT. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects and contribute to the growth and success of our organization.
Responsibilities
* Be customer-facing and provide exceptional support to employees via various channels.
* Proven Mac expertise; troubleshoot, use the terminal, and manage macOS in the enterprise environment.
* Procure and deliver technology equipment; own the onboarding experience for all new employees and the tech retrieval for departing employees.
* Design, test, build, document programs, policies, and tools; contribute improvements to existing knowledge base.
* Support and manage SaaS applications (Google Workspace, Slack, Jamf Pro/Protect/Connect, Okta, Jira, etc.).
* Manage Mac endpoint and mobile device management tools (MDM/EMM, Jamf, etc.).
* Develop and improve IDP and SSO tooling (GSuite, Okta, etc.); document solutions and automate repetitive tasks.
* Prioritize help desk tickets and balance project work with agile methods and sprints in Jira.
* Set and pursue your own objectives and key results aligned with team and company goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* 7+ years in SaaS systems administration (Jamf Pro, Google Workspace, Okta, Slack, Jira, Netsuite).
* Ability to create automations using Bash, Zsh, Python, etc.; experience with open source tooling (Nudge, CIS Benchmark scripts, SplashBuddy, Munki, etc.).
* Experience integrating SSO into Okta and creating workflows in Okta; API familiarity for system integrations.
* Remote support across multiple countries/time zones; ability to ship and receive hardware and handle customs.
* Excellent communication skills across media; clear, friendly, concise writing for tickets, email, and Slack.
* Strong security awareness; understanding of PGP and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing/switching); methodical OSI-model troubleshooting.
* Ability to self-manage, scope projects, and coordinate across multiple teams; strong organizational and task-management skills.
