Global Trade Compliance Specialist
This role involves conducting in-depth research and analysis of global trade regulations to provide insights that support the development and implementation of SAP GTS systems.
We are seeking a detail-oriented Global Trade Compliance Specialist with expertise in tax, global trade, or international regulatory research. The ideal candidate will have experience working with SAP GTS or similar trade compliance systems and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Monitoring and maintaining awareness of legislative and regulatory changes across jurisdictions using government websites, agencies, third-party sources, and in-country experts.
* Tracking global trade compliance regulations, including customs duties, export controls, sanctions, tariff updates, and other relevant requirements.
* Interpreting and analyzing new or amended legislation to provide clear summaries and detailed regulatory insights needed by ERP and product specialists.
The specialist will work closely with Business Analysts and ERP/GTS specialists to deliver accurate and timely information. Client interaction is minimal; the role is primarily research-oriented.
Must-Have Qualifications:
* Bilingual: English + one LATAM language (Spanish or Portuguese).
* 5+ years of professional experience in tax, global trade, or international regulatory research.
* Working knowledge of SAP GTS or similar trade compliance systems.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
* Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and handle multiple tasks under pressure.
* Strong internet-based research capabilities and proficiency in business applications.
