Please speak to the Talent Acquisition team to find out more information.What does a Mechanical Artist do at Hogarth?As a Mechanical Artist, you will be producing mechanicals for our client to be viewed by the world. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of all aspects of print production design and be working alongside a talented team that consists of technical and creative Mechanical Artists, Designers, and Project Managers. Daily, you'll be working in a fast-paced, fun environment, producing print-ready mechanicals. This is a role for a collaborative individual who is highly organized, extremely detail-oriented, and capable of working with high expectations within flexible and demanding deadlinesKey responsibilities:Work with Studio Project Managers and Senior Mechanical Artists to accurately implement content across a range of mechanicalsPractice meticulous attention to detail and follow instructions preciselyProvide multiple layout solutions when necessaryManage a high-volume workloadComplete relevant checklists for all assigned tasks to ensure the highest level of quality and accuracyCreate and update mechanical templates with new specificationsMaintain strict server structure and file organization guidelinesManage files and processes (incoming/outgoing, naming, archiving, etc.)Consistently adhere to file naming strategiesPerform quality-control measures on individual and peer workAbide by (and enforce) the client’s strict confidentiality policiesCommunicate articulately with the team, sharing and documenting any issues or knowledge to ensure accuracy and consistencyContribute to a continuous improvement work philosophyRequirements:5+ years’ experience in mechanical production, printing, and technologyBA in Graphic Design/Print Media or equivalentPrepress background a plusExpert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat); working knowledge of Photoshop a plusProactive in keeping skills up to date and driving self-improvementAbility to prioritize workload and work both independently and with a teamAbility to navigate complex processes and toolsEffective time managerMeticulous attention to detailStrong interpersonal and organizational skillsCommunicate fully, effectively, and diplomaticallyProactive, solution-oriented thinkerInclusion and ImpactWPP is an equal opportunity employer and considers applicants for all positions without discrimination or regard to particular characteristics.
