This is a senior-level position for an experienced Application Support Engineer who will be responsible for providing technical direction and guidance for various application and infrastructure activities across the enterprise.
About the Role
The successful candidate will have a strong background in production support and experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Appdynamics, and Prometheus. They will also possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with global teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Participate in architectural discussions to evaluate proposed solutions and ensure their applicability and usefulness.
* Support and implement solutions, ensuring their successful introduction across the organization and with clients.
* Perform technical analysis and prepare recommendations as needed.
* Liaise with business units, the IT department, and outside vendors to ensure effective coordination and decision-making.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree beneficial.
* 5+ years of related production support experience required; experience in the securities or financial services industry a plus.
* Programming/scripting skills in Java, Python, C++, Django, etc., and ability to learn.
* Experience with various application/networking monitoring tools.
* Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to work with global teams.
