We are seeking an experienced Project Manager – Ports who is willing to relocate to Africa to lead and oversee consultancy and site supervision activities for port and marine infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will manage project execution from planning through construction supervision, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.
This role requires strong technical expertise in port infrastructure, stakeholder coordination, contractor management, and on-site supervision experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and coordinate port and marine infrastructure projects.
* Supervise consultancy and site supervision teams during project execution.
* Monitor construction progress, quality, HSE compliance, and contract performance.
* Review technical submissions, drawings, method statements, and project documentation.
* Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
* Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and timelines.
* Prepare project reports, progress updates, and risk assessments.
* Support procurement, budgeting, scheduling, and contract administration activities.
* Lead site meetings and resolve technical and operational issues.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, or related field.
* Minimum 15 years of experience in port, marine, or infrastructure projects.
* Proven experience in consultancy and construction/site supervision roles.
* Strong knowledge of port infrastructure, dredging, quay walls, terminals, and marine works.
* Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
* Excellent communication and reporting skills.
* Fluent in English
* Proficiency in project management tools and MS Office.
* PMP certification or equivalent is an advantage.
