Digital QA Specialist – BRP
BRP is looking for a skilled QA Automation Engineer to join its dynamic and growing Digital Customer Experience Testing and Quality Assurance Engineering team. As a Digital QA Specialist, you will be able to demonstrate your talents and enjoy working on a variety of digital projects (E-Commerce D2C) in a fast-paced and agile environment.
You will define and execute unit, regression, system integration test and smoke test cases, ensuring the quality and responsiveness of our digital technology platforms alongside a talented and passionate development team working on a vast array of systems.
You'll Have The Opportunity To
Design, write, and maintain automated test cases using Cypress
Build and improve the test automation framework
Work closely with developers, product owners to define, design, and ship new features
Actively participate in the testing of digital properties and applications, its subsystems, interface (API), and its supporting technical infrastructure
Analyze project documentation to determine test case and script design, participate in test execution and defect resolution
Define test strategy, test approach, and test environment requirements
Design and prepare test data
Create test plans, innovative test cases, release notes, test logs, etc., based on requirements and test execution
Maintain QA documents up-to-date across sprints
Report test results, logs, and defects clearly and effectively
Suggest ways to improve QA practices and implement them
YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES
Worked in a QA capacity for 3+ years or more
3+ years practical experience with IT principles, testing theory and methodologies
3+ years proven track record in participating and executing test plans, including analysis, sprint, design and execution
Experience with Cypress, Playwright, Gherkin & TestRail
Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript
Strong understanding of e-commerce flows in an agile environment is an asset
Experience in API and UI (Accessibility is a plus) E-commerce within Magento (plus)
Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills
Should be a team player who works with a sense of urgency towards timelines
Adaptable and flexible, takes ownership, transparent and proactive
Customer service focus and relationship management skills
Post-secondary school education in Computer Science
Experience in an Agile Environment (Scrum, Kanban)
Fluent English
