We are seeking a dynamic and inspiring High School Music & Theory of Knowledge (TOK) Teacher to join our High School faculty. This dual-role position involves teaching high school music courses (performance, theory, composition) and facilitating the IB Theory of Knowledge curriculum. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the arts, critical thinking, and interdisciplinary learning, and will foster an inclusive, inquiry-based classroom environment.

Plan and deliver high-quality music instruction that includes:
Music theory, history, performance, composition, and technology
Opportunities for individual and ensemble performance
Integration of diverse musical traditions and global perspectives
Teach IB Theory of Knowledge (TOK) to High School students:
Guide students in exploring the nature of knowledge across disciplines
Facilitate discussions that develop critical thinking, reflection, and academic research
Support students in completing TOK assessments
Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance learning
Create a supportive and motivating classroom culture
Mentor and advise students in academic planning, portfolios, and performances
Support extracurricular music activities (ensembles, concerts, showcases)
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure interdisciplinary learning opportunities
Create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming classroom environment that encourages participation and respects individuality
Establish clear expectations for student behavior and maintain a structured and supportive learning environment
Support the school community by contributing to extracurricular activities, school events, and projects
Collaborate with the High School team, department leads, and performing arts colleagues
Perform other duties as assigned by the High School Principal
Requisitos e qualificações
Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in Music Education, Music Performance, IB Education, or related field
Proficiency in English (oral and written) is mandatory.
