What You’ll Be Doing
✅ Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of Accountants to deliver accurate, timely, high-quality work.
✅ Full-Cycle Accounting Oversight: Review reconciliations, financial reports, and month-end close deliverables across multiple client files.
✅ Operational Excellence: Ensure UpCounting’s accounting processes are followed consistently and improve them where needed.
✅ Client Support & Communication: Help clients understand their numbers, communicate insights clearly, and ensure smooth financial operations.
✅ System & Process Optimization: Identify automation opportunities and contribute to scalable, efficient workflows alongside Controllers and senior leadership.
What You Bring
⭐ 5+ years of experience in accounting management, ideally within a firm or multi-client environment.
⭐ High proficiency in QuickBooks Online and/or Xero (NetSuite is a bonus).
⭐ Excellent communication and leadership skills — you elevate the people around you.
⭐ Strong technical foundation across full-cycle accounting, reconciliations, and month-end processes.
⭐ Comfortable using automation tools and improving processes.
⭐ FP&A or financial modeling experience is an asset.
⭐ A calm, structured leadership style — you bring clarity without micromanagement.

Your First Week
Meet the People Team and Accounting leadership, onboard into our systems, connect with your direct reports, and understand our workflows across tools, teams, and time zones.
Month 1
You’ll be managing client files, team rhythms, and weekly deliverables. You’ll be leading your team through core processes, learning the review system end-to-end, and begin shaping how we operate.
In 3 Months
You’ll fully own your portfolio of accountants and clients—setting priorities, supporting performance, ensuring high-quality delivery, and improving workflows. You’ll be a go-to leader with autonomy and clarity.
