Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025. The Public Relations Manager is responsible for managing the logistics of NBCUniversal's Public Relations operations in Brazil and coordinating with the talent involved in its local productions. The Manager must allocate her time and resources between acquired programming (40%) and original productions (60%). The Manager should monitor trends and identify newsworthy opportunities to promote our shows and productions. When no PR agency is engaged, the Manager should serve as the point of contact for the press. The Manager needs to participate in virtual meetings with International Public Relations teams in Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, and the USA to share Public Relations strategies for all networks and Universal. Additionally, the Manager must collaborate with the Ad Sales team to obtain quotes for talent participation in Ad Sales buys. This position will be supported by one local PR agency. Responsibilities - Develop and implement comprehensive publicity strategies to maximize exposure for NBCUniversal brands, networks, and original productions in Brazil. - Collaborate with the Programming team to identify show highlights, scheduling priorities, and promotional opportunities, fostering alignment and shared vision. - Oversee the creation and approval of communications materials, including press releases, talking points, synopses, and agendas, in coordination with production houses, talent, executive producers, and the Head of Original Productions. - Coordinate with the regional marketing team to execute brand-aligned activities such as events, unboxing productions, and content distribution. - Evaluate and guide PR agency proposals, recommending media outlets, influencers, and strategic angles to enhance visibility. - Secure brand approvals for all promotional materials and ensure alignment with NBCUniversal standards. - Manage vendor relations, including quote requests, invoice processing, and payment follow-ups with Finance. - Administer budgets, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting. - Develop and execute talent publicity trips, including appearances to support new acquisitions and series launches. - Plan and manage press initiatives such as junkets, SMTs, set visits, and virtual press conferences. - Coordinate talent social media promotion, provide assets, and collaborate with the digital team on content strategy. Make sure talent posts on social media to support shows. - Oversee talent participation in sales initiatives and promotional events, including contract development with Legal and Original Productions. - Handle all talent logistics, including travel arrangements, per-diem payments, styling, and grooming services. - Provide on-set support to ensure a positive experience for in-house and guest talent. - Serve as liaison between Original Productions and PR, ensuring timely delivery of promotional assets and materials. - Be the point of contact for all cast and crews, resolve their issues, and answer their questions. - Present the Promotion Strategy Presentation to the cast and crew of our original productions. - Follow up with production and agency teams for essential PR content such as photos, BTS footage, and show synop
