What You Will Do
* Playing a pivotal role in monthly revenue and commission close procedures, including preparing journal entries, conducting reconciliations, and ensuring compliance
* Collaborating with multiple departments to gather transaction information, investigate reconciling items, and address discrepancies
* Managing account balances by reconciling, researching, and resolving discrepancies in accounts payable and receivable
* Overseeing the invoicing process, including issuing invoices via municipal platforms or NetSuite and understanding taxation, how taxes are calculated based on revenue, and the different types of taxes
* Managing accounts payable, maintaining close relationships with the accounting team, and coordinating payment schedules
* Handling accounts receivable, including the collection process, issuing formal protests for overdue invoices, and ensuring cash flow consistency
* Conducting bank reconciliations to validate payments and outstanding balances
* Developing and implementing financial policies when necessary to support the team and improve efficiency
What You Will Need
* Hold or is finishing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Management, or a related field.
* Are a fast learner with a proactive, dynamic, and self-directed approach.
* Have up to 2 years of experience in similar roles or are a new graduate eager to learn.
* Are detail-oriented and highly organized.
* Have a good understanding of how invoicing works, including processes through platforms like municipal systems or NetSuite.
* Understand taxation concepts, such as revenue-based tax calculations and tax types.
* Are familiar with SaaS companies (a plus).
* Have experience with accounting software, and advanced Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets skills.
* Possess advanced English proficiency (you will use it daily, and we will also have interviews in English)
* Enjoy working in a multicultural environment and can communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders in a fast-paced, startup environment.
