Podcast Producer
This role involves managing the full production workflow of a weekly interview podcast, from guest communication and scheduling to episode preparation and publishing.
Responsibilities:
* Manage all communication with guests, including initial outreach and post-episode follow-up
* Schedule interviews and provide prep materials, including bios and release forms
* Draft guest outreach emails and pitches for upcoming content themes
* Maintain guest pipelines and schedules in a project management tool
Episode Planning & Production
* Prepare episode briefs and host prep sheets, including scripts and notes
* Attend live recordings to track timestamps and notes
* Review raw audio/video and provide clear edit notes to the editor
* Collaborate on episode titles, angles, and hooks
* Choose main promotional clips and quotes for social media
Editing Coordination
* Send detailed cut notes to the editor, including time-stamps and instructions
* Review first edits and request revisions to ensure quality before publishing
* Ensure final episodes reflect brand voice and pacing
Publishing & Show Management
* Write compelling show notes, descriptions, and summaries
* Prepare publishing assets, including episode artwork and tags
* Upload episodes to hosting platforms and track performance metrics
Marketing & Promotion Support
* Coordinate with the social media team to deliver clips and captions
* Identify promotional opportunities through guests' audiences
* Support creation of audiograms and short-form content briefs
Monetization & Growth
* Assist in creating sponsorship decks and research relevant partners
* Coordinate guest cross-promotion to increase downloads
* Identify collaboration opportunities and track growth trends
The ideal candidate will have:
* Real podcast producing experience (required)
* Excellent written English and a warm, professional tone
* Organized and reliable with strong project management skills
* Loves structure and keeping details tight
* Can communicate confidently with high-profile guests
* Can listen to an episode and identify what needs to be cut for clarity
* Is comfortable giving editors detailed instructions
* Enjoys managing timelines and assets
* Can work independently and solve problems proactively
