We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineering Manager to lead the development and delivery of large-scale data integration and analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Oracle performance tuning, combined with strong leadership and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversight of query and database performance to meet strict service level agreements.
* Analysis of execution plans and recommendation of indexing, partitioning, and optimization strategies.
* Collaboration with DBAs to validate and implement tuning recommendations.
* Management of ETL/ELT workflows, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and data quality.
* Leverage of AWS services (S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda, DMS) for ingestion, transformation, and storage.
* Leadership and mentorship of the team, fostering technical excellence and continuous improvement.
* Translation of technical decisions into clear explanations for both technical and business stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
* 7+ years of experience in data engineering within enterprise-scale environments.
* Expertise in Oracle performance tuning, including query optimization, execution plans, indexes, partitioning, and parallelism.
* Hands-on experience writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.
* Expertise in Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
* Experience in data warehouse design, ETL/ELT processes, and data modeling.
* Proven leadership experience, including team mentoring and technical guidance.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with DBAs, technical teams, and business stakeholders.
* Fluent in English.
