As an Underwriter, you will be responsible for reviewing individual applications for insurance, conducting research, and making risk assessments. You will also negotiate with customers regarding premiums, coverage limits, and policy terms.
* Assess risk by examining property, analyzing data, and consulting with senior underwriters.
* Negotiate premium rates, coverage limits, and policy terms with clients.
* Evaluate and process new and renewal applications within company guidelines.
* Interact with policyholders to deliver and explain policy documents.
* Maintain accurate records and complete necessary forms.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
Requirements
* Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field.
* A minimum of three years of underwriting experience.
* Insurance Associate in Underwriting (AU) Professional Designation preferred.
* Valid driver's license.
* No felony, theft, or fraud convictions.
Preferred Qualifications
* Ability to obtain Associates in General Insurance (AINS) designation within two years of employment.
