The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business administration, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently. As an Underwriter, you will be responsible for reviewing individual applications for insurance, conducting research, and making risk assessments. You will also negotiate with customers regarding premiums, coverage limits, and policy terms.
 * Assess risk by examining property, analyzing data, and consulting with senior underwriters.
 * Negotiate premium rates, coverage limits, and policy terms with clients.
 * Evaluate and process new and renewal applications within company guidelines.
 * Interact with policyholders to deliver and explain policy documents.
 * Maintain accurate records and complete necessary forms.
 * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
Requirements
 * Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field.
 * A minimum of three years of underwriting experience.
 * Insurance Associate in Underwriting (AU) Professional Designation preferred.
 * Valid driver's license.
 * No felony, theft, or fraud convictions.
Preferred Qualifications
 * Ability to obtain Associates in General Insurance (AINS) designation within two years of employment.
