Customer Service Role
As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for creating and updating Business Partners (BPs) for your clients (new and existing). You will be the face of Kuehne+Nagel to the outside world and responsible for customer satisfaction. You will use your knowledge in air freight forwarding to assist clients with daily challenges, answer questions, and investigate complaints. Additionally, you will leverage your understanding of Kuehne+Nagel's products and services to determine the best solutions for clients. You will be supported by an OCC team that assists with operational and administrative tasks and acts as a bridge to the sales team.
How you create impact
Responsible for onboarding and implementing new clients, ensuring all documents (SOPs, Work Instructions, credit setup, etc.) and system requirements (Customer Profile, platform access, QTAir quotes, etc.) are correctly established and meet client needs.
Understand the client's supply chain and have initial experience in supply chain management, acting as a business advisor for related queries.
Primary escalation point for deviations and complaints: Investigate root causes and propose long-term solutions.
Provide information to clients (flight details, logistics options, release requests, special handling instructions, etc.).
Manage financial communication with clients as needed, including payment instructions and dispute resolution.
Proactively monitor shipments (import/export): track milestones, anticipate issues, inform clients, analyze performance data, and manage continuous improvement plans using tools (KPIs, BI reports).
Maintain proactive communication and strong relationships with clients.
Participate in QBRs and act as a subject matter expert when required.
Receive transport orders and provide quotations using the quotation tool. Organize pre-transport with clients, anticipating deadlines.
Handle, validate, analyze, and monitor client cargo claims until resolution.
What we would like you to bring
Complete higher education in Administration, International Relations, Foreign Trade, or similar fields.
Experience in customer service within air transport, especially in import processes.
Experience with freight forwarding is ideal.
Advanced English proficiency.
