Job TitleTechnical WriterJob DescriptionCreate customer-facing product documentation for Philips Hospital Patient Monitoring products, in a highly collaborative environment.You will work closely with product development teams, engineers, localization engineers, other technical writers and the regulatory and quality teams, to ensure that documentation meets project plan requirements.The deliverables must meet the needs of our customers in the clinical environment, and the quality and regulatory standards required for medical solutions.In this role, you are responsible for Developing and editing clinical user and/or installation and service documentation for patient monitoring products:Instructions for UseInstallation, Configuration and Service guidesInstallation Notes/Quick GuidesErrata/Addenda as appropriatePreparing documentation plans from engineering documentation, field requirements and/or customer requirementsParticipating in cross functional teams to represent documentation status and deliverables; provide input to program schedules and milestonesAdhering to Philips templates and processes to ensure quality and consistency of deliverablesWorking with external vendors (e.g. Translation Service Provider) through the documentation development lifecycleImplementing guidelines and/or requirements of appropriate standardsYou are part of The Technical Writing department in the Hospital Patient Monitoring business. This department is recognized as an authority that owns and delivers the product/solution documentation. This includes consultancy on industry trends and tools, resolving usability concerns as well as addressing global regulatory standards for product labeling. To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experienceStrong communication skillsFluent in English is mandatory as you will be part of a global teamBachelors degree, ideally in technical writing, or equivalent combination of education and experienceSolid experience with Bachelor's in areas such as Technical Writing or equivalent.Experience using industry authoring tools (Adobe FrameMaker, InDesign), with a strong preference for experience in a content management system environment (AuthorIt, Schema ST4, etc.)Experience in a regulated industry preferredHow we work togetherWe believe that we are better together than apart.For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week at Philips Varginha site.About PhilipsWe are a health technology company.
