The primary goal of the project is the modernization, maintenance, and development of an eCommerce platform for a large US-based retail company, serving millions of omnichannel customers weekly.
Solutions are delivered by several Product Teams focused on different domains - Customer, Loyalty, Search and Browse, Data Integration, Cart.
Current priorities include onboarding new brands, re-architecture, database migrations, and migrating microservices to a unified cloud-native solution without disrupting business operations.
Responsibilities :
Onboard quickly to Customer’s processes
Perform performance tuning as requested
Handle DBA tasks with incident tickets
Collaborate with other teams and clients to identify optimal solutions
Mandatory Skills :
Willingness to work until 9:00 pm CET (overtime not required)
Expertise in PostgreSQL tuning, with or without tools and extensions
Extensive experience managing PostgreSQL in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Advanced SQL skills, including queries, joins, functions, and procedures
Knowledge of networking, infrastructure components, and PostgreSQL settings and flags
Experience with monitoring tools and workload analysis, including query benchmarking
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Nice-to-Have Skills :
Experience working with Azure
Certifications in AWS, GCP, or Azure database management
Experience with DevOps practices and GitHub
Experience working in distributed teams with US clients
