The Advanced Practitioner (Nurse Practitioner) is responsible for providing healthcare services to patients under the supervision of, and/or in collaboration with, the attending physician. These services include, but are not limited to, medical evaluation, treatment, counseling, and referrals. Consists of diagnostic evaluations, therapeutic remediation, surgical assistance, and pharmaceutical prescription.
Electrophysiology & Device: In collaboration with Electrophysiologist for inpatient/outpatient consultations, evaluating/interrogating Device, implements plan of care and orders all necessary testing. Requires some weekend on-call and holidays.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Competent in the assessment, treatment, counseling, and education of the patient and their families.
* Competency in evaluating patients and performing physical examinations.
* Demonstrates ability to determine abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests and accurately interpreting test results.
* Evaluates, develops, and implements appropriate patient management and treatment plans.
* Coordinates and communicates patient care effectively with other healthcare professionals.
* Provides high quality health care, based on best practice and/or evidence-based medicine.
* Performs therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, as appropriate.
* Conduct virtual care services, described as live and interactive clinical assessments, diagnosis, and treatment of patients.
* Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and participating in professional societies.
* Participates in the research, development, implementation, and tracking of clinical management guidelines.
* Participates in the teaching of multidisciplinary students and physician residents & fellows.
* Participates in AP student clinical rotation preceptorship, when assigned.
* Demonstrates performance improvement in clinical care/outcomes and operational systems.
* Competent in utilizing electronic medical records and provides documentation for optimal billing.
* Demonstrates financial responsibility and accountability through effective resource use.
* Performs routine health maintenance activities for new and established patients.
* Coordinates patient care and family counseling with public and mental health agencies.
* Teaches wellness habits and educates patients on prevention of potential health problems.
* Provides occupational health services in the urgent care setting.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be board eligible or board-certified Registered Nurse Practitioner with current license to practice in the state of Pennsylvania or New Jersey.
Although one year experience in a similar setting is preferred, new grads are encouraged to apply!

Sitting for up to 5 hours per day; standing for up to 5 hours per day; walking for up to 3 hours per day; lifting and transporting patients; and other physical requirements as necessary.
