They are an Agile learner, possess strong problem-solving skills, work as part of a technical, cross functional analytics team, and want to solve complex data problems and deliver the insights to enable analytics strategy. Data Engineer will work closely with a multidisciplinary Agile team to build high quality data pipelines driving analytic solutions. These solutions will generate insights from the organization's connected data, enabling the organization to advance the data-driven decision-making capabilities of the organization's enterprise.Essential Functions:Participates on supply chain data products development projects, contributing to the design, develop, optimize, and maintain data architecture and pipelines that adhere to ETL principles and business goalsSolve complex problems without clear precedent, requiring application of expertise to analyze the problem to deliver insights that helps the organization's business to achieve their goalsAdvise other data and analytic professionals on data standards and practicesFoster a culture of sharing, re-use, design for scale stability, and operational efficiency of data and analytical solutionsLead the evaluation, implementation and deployment of emerging tools and process for analytic data engineering in order to improve the organization's productivity as a teamPartner with business analysts and solutions architects to develop technical architectures for strategic enterprise projects and initiatives.Use knowledge of Bunge's business, structure and strategy to develop innovative solutions to improve results or eliminate problems.Build partnerships, appropriately influence to gain commitment, foster talent and coach others to grow in current or future roles..Drive results through high standards, focus on key priorities, organization, and preparing others for change.Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; Computer Science, MIS, or Engineering preferred; Post Graduate preferred3+ years of experience working in data engineering or architecture role, 5+ preferredProficient in programming language like Python or RExpertise in SQL and data analysis and experience with at least one programming language (Python or Scala preferred)Experience developing and maintaining data warehouses in big data solutionsExperience with developing solutions on cloud computing services and infrastructure in the data and analytics space (preferred)Database development experience using Hadoop or BigQuery and experience with a variety of relational, NoSQL, and cloud database technologiesConceptual knowledge of data and analytics, such as dimensional modeling, ETL, reporting tools, data governance, data warehousing, structured and unstructured data.Exposure to machine learning, data science, computer vision, artificial intelligence, statistics, and/or applied mathematicsPassionate about Agile software processes, data-driven development, reliability, and experimentationExperience working on a collaborative Agile product teamSelf-motivated with strong problem-solving and learning skillsFlexibility to changes in work direction as the project developsExcellent communication, listening, and influencing skillsDemonstrated strong number sense, intellectually curious and willing to adjust position based on additional informationStrong work ethic; ability to work at an abstract level and gain consensusAt Bunge (NYSE: BG), our purpose is to connect farmers to consumers to deliver essential food, feed and fuel to the world.
