NHS HighlandAdvanced Nurse Practitioner (Drug & Alcohol Recovery Services)Band 7 (or Trainee under Annex 21)37 hours per week, Permanent
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced ANP to join the Drug and Alcohol Recovery Services (DARS), covering the geographical areas of Lochaber, Wester Ross, Skye, and Lochalsh.
As well as direct patient contact, you will provide clinical leadership, supervision, and advice to DARS-specific nursing staff, ensuring individuals accessing the service receive evidence-based care within localities.
Ideally, you will hold the ANP qualification and have experience working with individuals requiring treatment for addiction.
Relevant experience and a non-medical prescribing qualification will be considered for a trainee post under Annex 21 of Agenda for Change.
You will work closely with similar roles across North Highland, playing a lead role in ensuring robust local pathways and service development processes within Lochaber, Skye, Lochalsh, and Wester Ross.
The location is negotiable within NHS Highland boundaries, provided you can be physically present at the workplace in your area of responsibility.
Some work may be delivered remotely via assistive technologies such as Attend Anywhere and MS Teams.
A relocation package may be available for the successful candidate.
The shift pattern is currently Monday to Friday, with plans to move to a North Highland-wide seven-day service, which may require working some unsocial hours, including weekends.
