Summary:Responsible for auditing lifting operations, inspecting lifting equipment, and conducting rigging and slinging surveys on offshore facilities to ensure compliance with company standards and international regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform lifting audits on all offshore lifting operations (cranes, hoists, lifting accessories).Conduct rigging and slinging surveys to verify correct selection, condition, and safe use of rigging gear.Inspect and verify certification, condition, and integrity of lifting equipment (slings, shackles, wire ropes, hooks, pad eyes, lifting points, etc.).Review and approve lifting plans, risk assessments, and method statements.Ensure compliance with relevant standards (LOLER, ISO, API, company Lifting Management System).Identify non-conformities, issue audit findings, and follow up on corrective actions.Provide coaching and guidance to offshore teams on best lifting and rigging practices.Support incident investigations related to lifting or rigging activities.Requirements5+ years offshore experience in lifting, rigging, or crane operations.Certification in LEEA, OPITO Rigging & Slinging, or equivalent.Strong knowledge of offshore lifting standards and safety practices.Ability to read lifting plans, load charts, and rigging diagrams.Good reporting, communication, and audit skills.
