About the role
This role is for a Lead ServiceNow Developer responsible for the end-to-end delivery of a certified integration application between ServiceNow and a healthcare-focused CMMS platform. The developer will lead architecture, development, documentation, and certification processes while collaborating with cross-functional teams and mentoring junior developers. The role is highly autonomous and impactful, requiring deep technical expertise and leadership.
Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and deployment of a certified ServiceNow app integrated with the CMMS platform.
Architect and implement secure, scalable, and maintainable integrations supporting attachments and templated requests.
Ensure robust bidirectional data flow between ServiceNow and the CMMS using REST APIs and IntegrationHub.
Define and enforce best practices and coding standards across the development team.
Collaborate with engineering, product, and certification teams to finalize scope, timelines, and delivery strategy.
Guide and mentor junior developers, oversee code reviews and QA processes.
Own the documentation and requirements-gathering process by working directly with stakeholders.
Lead the application through the ServiceNow Store certification process, ensuring full compliance.
Coordinate and support end-to-end testing, certification, and deployment phases.
Must have skills
ServiceNow Certified Application Developer.
7+ years of ServiceNow development experience.
7+ years of JavaScript experience.
At least 2 years in a technical leadership or architecture role.
Proven experience delivering certified ServiceNow Store apps.
Expertise in JavaScript, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, REST API development, and complex ServiceNow workflows.
Deep knowledge of ITSM, CMDB, and platform security best practices.
Experience with attachments, custom forms, and templated request workflows.
Strong leadership, stakeholder communication, and technical documentation skills.
Proven ability to work independently and in distributed, cross-functional teams.
Nice to have skills
Experience with facilities management or utility platforms such as WorxHub or similar.
Prior integration of ServiceNow with third-party SaaS systems.
Familiarity with asset management or maintenance request workflows in healthcare or enterprise environments.
Conditions:
100% Remote role; primary time zone is US Eastern Time.
Contractor role: 6–8 months total. Includes 1–2 months scoping with the client (leading workshops, discovery, hiring), followed by 4–6 months of delivery depending on discovery outcomes. Renewable contract.
Full-time dedication (40 hours/week).
