Job Title: Technical Infrastructure Specialist
About the Role
This position involves serving as a technical expert in manufacturing information systems infrastructure. The role entails identifying methods and architecting solutions to deliver high service levels to application end-users.
The successful candidate will contribute to building, maintaining, and troubleshooting an expanding application system and its infrastructure, working closely with engineers, analysts, and leadership for regular feedback on design and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintenance, optimization, troubleshooting, upgrades, installation, and documentation of PLM system infrastructure
* Administration of new and existing technologies, including design, documentation, install, configuration, maintenance, integration, and testing related systems
* Collaboration with business customers on hardware, middleware, and application requirements
* Leadership with vendors, engineers, analysts, and leadership to ensure database integrity, application software, and data
* Regular system monitoring, verifying integrity, health, and availability of all systems and key processes, reviewing application and system logs, ensuring completion of scheduled jobs
* Problem-solving efforts regarding system and service matters, facilitating support with outside personnel, organizations, and/or vendors
* Monitoring tech-industry trends, bringing new ideas and innovative solutions
* Developing new deliverables as needed based on operational requirements and following best practices for documentation and delivery
* Analyzing data to drive decision making and recommendations
Requirements
To be considered for this position, applicants must possess:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or a similar discipline, and/or equivalent related work experience
* Hands-on experience with ARAS (PLM tool) and SolidWorks (CAD system)
* Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in a factory or enterprise setting
* Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience with PLM
* Technical expertise with PLM systems such as CAD, PDM, ERP, PMO
* Excellent communication skills, including explaining and presenting technical information
* Ability to effectively train and advise users on information technology issues
* Strong analytical, multitasking, and interpersonal skills
* Able to work independently and in a team environment, as well as with cross-functional groups
