We are seeking a highly skilled Data Warehouse Architect to join our team. As a key member of our data strategy team, you will be responsible for designing and deploying data warehousing solutions that meet the evolving needs of our business.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data warehousing concepts, including data modeling, ETL processes, and data governance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop data warehousing solutions that drive business value.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and Deploy Data Warehousing Solutions: Develop and implement data warehousing solutions that meet the needs of our business, using tools such as Databricks and Delta Lake.
* Lead Data Ingestion Pipelines: Design and implement robust data ingestion pipelines using Spark (PySpark/Scala) and Delta Lake, ensuring high-quality data and optimal performance.
* Integrate AWS Services: Collaborate with our DevOps team to integrate AWS-native services (S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift, Lambda) with Databricks for optimized performance and scalability.
* Develop Data Models and Optimize Query Performance: Define data models, optimize query performance, and establish warehouse governance best practices to ensure efficient data usage.
* Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with product teams, data scientists, and DevOps to streamline data workflows and ensure seamless data integration.
Required Skills & Experience
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Databricks / Lakehouse Architecture: Expertise in setting up Databricks workspaces and Unity Catalog, as well as advanced PySpark/SQL skills for ETL and transformations.
* AWS Native Integration: Deep experience with AWS Glue, S3, Redshift Spectrum, Lambda, and Athena, including IAM and VPC configuration knowledge for secure cloud integrations.
* Data Warehousing & Modeling: Strong grasp of modern dimensional modeling (star/snowflake schemas) and experience setting up lakehouse design patterns for mixed workloads.
* Automation & DevOps: Familiarity with CI/CD for data engineering using tools like DBX, Terraform, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps, as well as proficiency in monitoring tools like CloudWatch, Datadog, or New Relic for data pipelines.
