Network Engineer Role Overview
We're seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our team and play a key role in ensuring the seamless operation of our network infrastructure.
As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support to customers and field personnel via phone, chat, or email for configuration and troubleshooting of servers, virtualization, cybersecurity, industrial data centers, and other networks.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide timely and effective technical support to customers and field personnel via various communication channels.
* Manage customer interactions, including setting expectations, capturing issue/resolution/steps taken to troubleshoot within service ticket notes, and following up with customers promptly.
* Interact and support additional core areas of automation, including controllers, operator interfaces, and networks.
* Update and author technical notes and documentation with solutions to commonly experienced problems, installation practices that create problems, how-to guides to improve customer satisfaction and acceptance.
Essential Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in electronics, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related information technology field.
* Experience with servers, networking, Linux OS, and VMware vSphere.
* Cybersecurity applications.
* Knowledge of LAN/WAN network technologies.
* Good verbal and written command of the English language.
* Ability to handle high-pressure work situations when working with customers from diverse backgrounds.
* Willingness to work weekends and in different shifts.
Preferred Qualifications:
* 2 years of experience in a similar position/field.
* Demonstrated practical knowledge in the use of virtualization technology, such as VMware (vSphere) or a VMware Certified Associate or Professional certification.
* Knowledge and ability to use issues in the field of Windows Server 2012/2016 in practice (AD, DHCP, DNS, RDP, etc.).
* Claroty Threat Detect Services and Secure Remote Access.
* CCNA or CCNA Security/CCNP/CCENT certification or experience with the Cisco IOS command-line interface (CLI) for configuring and managing Cisco devices.
* Experience configuring and troubleshooting managed Ethernet switches and routers.
* Knowledge of industrial networks through EtherNet/IP.
* Experience with OT technologies.
