OverviewWe’re seeking a video editor specializing in long-form content for a YouTube channel focused on educational topics (example: TierZoo). This is a full-time position to edit weekly long-form videos (approximately 20–30 minutes) and adapt the editor’s style to match our video aesthetic.The role requires strong editing skills, the ability to create simple to moderately complex graphics/animations, and proficiency in researching and understanding scientific terminology related to paleontology. A background or personal interest in paleontology or science is a plus.ResponsibilitiesEdit long-form videos (about 20–30 minutes) on a weekly cadence.Source supporting images, video clips, and create short motion graphics when applicable.Ensure the final videos align with the channel’s style and quality standards.Research topics and terminology to accurately present content.Adapt to feedback and improve editing techniques over time.QualificationsExperienced video editor with experience in motion graphics and simple 2D animations.Highly proficient in English (written and spoken).Strong research skills and ability to source credible materials.Fast and diligent learner, capable of understanding scientific concepts to add value.Organized and punctual with delivery.Able to learn from feedback and not repeat the same issues.Willing to ask questions when clarification is needed.Comfortable using professional video editing tools of your choice.ApplicationThis position can grow as the channel(s) grow over time.
