Job Purpose
Accountable for the overall management, control, and administration of the company's assets, fiscal and marketing policies, and human capital within the country/region.
Ensure overall business success by developing strategies and tactical directions for commercial sales, driving initiatives to stay ahead of the competition, and increasing market share.
Focus on profitable operations, primarily passenger revenue and market development, aligned with Emirates' strategic priorities and network revenue targets.
The role involves maintaining a high profile to boost travel trade and public awareness, reflecting the company's achievements and ambitions.
The role also requires interfacing with regulatory, industry, and government bodies, acting as the local company spokesman.
Job Accountabilities Linked to Objective Areas
Manage and control the company's assets, fiscal policies, and marketing policies.
Represent the Emirates Group legally and commercially, safeguarding interests.
Ensure compliance with local legislation, including aviation requirements.
Build and maintain relationships with partners, government, and industry stakeholders, ensuring legal and policy conformity while projecting a positive image.
Develop and implement country/region strategies in line with Emirates' priorities, including sales, marketing, pricing, and distribution strategies, in coordination with head office departments.
Recommend profitable business opportunities, monitor route profitability, and enhance revenue streams.
Monitor departmental performance, manage budgets, and ensure alignment with strategic priorities.
Lead, train, and motivate the leadership and middle management teams, working with HR on talent management.
Provide feedback and insights to head office on market trends, challenges, and achievements.
Maintain administrative and budgetary controls for seamless operations, managing costs and maximizing revenue.
Qualifications & Experience
University Degree (preferably in Business) with at least 10 years of commercial experience, including 8 years in management.
Knowledge of sales, reservations, airport services, and cargo.
Strong commercial acumen and understanding of airline operations.
Strategic planning skills considering air travel influencing factors.
Excellent command of English; proficiency in local language is an advantage.
