We also offer flexible schedules with nights and weekends off!THE OPPORTUNITY AT HANDOne of our Surgical Centers, Valley Eye, is seeing a dynamic Director of Nursing to join our team. This is an opportunity to work closely with the executive director and medical director to ensure the center functions in a coordinated and organized manner and provides quality care and service to our patients. You will manage multiple aspects of the center, from overseeing the daily schedule and assignments, to managing all HR related activities. It will be your responsibility to oversee the flow of the schedule in preop, recovery, and operating rooms, while overseeing the maintenance and adherence to surgical preferences of the staff. You will also collaborate with our Director of Nursing Administration, and act as her backup in her absence.OUR EXPECTATIONS OF YOUYou’ll maintain our adherence to federal, state, and accreditation requirements and standardsYou’ll maintain our exceptional standards of infection control practices, and ensure our staff does the same (including taking appropriate action regarding suspected or actual infections)Report and analyze data required for mandatory state reportingManage quality assurance and related activitiesYou’ll work closely with the materials manager and the sterile processing department, ensuring we’re always evaluating our instruments, our costs, and our commitment to patient safetyYou’ll manage the orientation and education of staff and maintain their educational recordsYou’ll mange vendor relationships and make recommendations when neededYou’ll serve as a member of established committees of the center and participate in related activities, while also serving as the backup safety officerParticipate in the development, implementation and management of policies and procedureWhat You’ll Need To SucceedYou must be a licensed and professional nurse in this stateBSN or BS in a healthcare related field requiredBLS certification and ACLS certifications requiredKnowledge of AAAHC, federal and state requirements for Ambulatory Surgi-CentersPrior healthcare management experienceExperience is perioperative nursing a plusMust have knowledge of admitting and discharging of patientsCNOR and ASORN preferredOphthalmology and ASC experience are a huge plus but are not required for this roleWho We AreOur globally recognized healthcare team is comprised of some of the top minds in ocular medicine.
