Oracle DBA Position Overview
We seek a skilled Oracle database administrator to fill a key role in our team.
* A successful candidate will have experience with database management, including infrastructure architecture, installation, upgrade, maintenance, performance tuning, backup, recovery, and other related activities.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
* Ensuring high availability and optimal database performance.
* Maintaining SQL/PLSQL queries and collaborating closely with the application team.
* Sustaining database availability, providing support, and working effectively with product developers.
* Crafting a reliable backup strategy, ensuring database backups are suitable, executed, and periodic restorations are conducted to guarantee backup quality.
* Establishing and documenting DB policies, procedures, and standards.
The following skills and qualifications are essential:
* DBA experience in Oracle, particularly with technologies such as Oracle RAC, Data Guard, OEM, Golden Gate, ASM, Cloud/VM, Engineered Appliance (Exadata), Linux, MySQL, and SQL Server, Cassandra, and Postgres.
* Experience in configuring database parameters, managing backups, monitoring users, and assigning privileges.
* Prior experience with 12C/19C versions of grid and database patching, preferably with an Oracle Certified DB Professional (OCP) certification and over five years of experience with Oracle 19c.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
* Configuring and maintaining databases to ensure seamless operation.
* Maintaining our SQL/PLSQL codebase and collaborating closely with the development team.
* Guaranteeing database stability, responsiveness, and collaboration with product teams.
* Designing and implementing robust backup strategies.
* Developing and maintaining DB documentation, policies, and procedures.
