About the Role
As a Front-End Web Developer on the Desktop Applications team, you will play a key role in developing new desktop applications and tools. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to innovate and build high-quality software products. This position will focus on enhancing Eightpoint's suite of proprietary browser products, playing a key role in shaping the user’s experience and overall product direction. You'll work closely with a cross-functional team of designers, developers, and product managers to continuously improve performance, usability, and feature sets. The goal is to deliver a faster, safer, and more intuitive browsing experience for millions of users. Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain high-quality desktop applications using Go and TypeScript
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
* Work with modern front-end frameworks like React, Vue, or Node.Js to create responsive user interfaces
* Participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure code quality and product reliability
* Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends and apply them to improve our products
* Adapt to changing project requirements and work under tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of performance
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and best practices
Who You Are
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
* 5+ years of experience in software development with a focus on desktop applications
* Experience with front-end technologies like React, Node, and Vue
* Knowledge of Windows API and other relevant technologies is a plus
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Skills and Experience
* Experience with Agile development methodologies
* Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
* Familiarity with AWS, Microsoft SQL Server
