This is a unique opportunity for a well-connected, strategic thinker to help shape Bloomberg’s regulatory and government engagement with key stakeholders across Latin America; with a particular focus on Brazil, Mexico, Colombia & Chile.This role sits at the crossroads of policy, finance, and technology. You will work closely with Bloomberg’s senior leadership, product and sales teams, and external partners to support our business goals by leading engagement with policymakers and regulators, building trusted relationships, and staying ahead of key policy trends that impact our clients and our business.What You’ll DoLead Bloomberg’s engagement with government officials, public institutions, and industry groups across LATAM identified as key for Bloomberg's South American business, with a focus on regulatory engagement and analysis, fostering relationships and building alliances to advance policy goals.Monitor political and policy/regulatory developments in Brazil and the wider LATAM region to inform internal stakeholders, and strategize Bloomberg’s positioning on relevant issues.Work closely with a global team of regulatory experts to help Bloomberg understand and navigate a complex regulatory environment in the area of capital markets across LATAM.Convene and support high-level events, briefings, and thought leadership opportunities that bring together policymakers, regulators, financial market leaders, and Bloomberg experts.Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders across the company, providing insights on the evolving political and policy environment.Collaborate across Bloomberg – including teams in Legal, Compliance, Product, Risk, and Sales – to ensure strategic alignment across the firm.What You Bring5-7 years of experience in government relations, public affairs, or public policy, preferably within a multinational company, industry association, consultancy, or government / regulatory agency.Strong network and deep understanding of political and institutional landscape in key LATAM markets, including key national and international government, regulatory, and financial market actors.Deep understanding of financial markets regulatory policy, and key workstreams of Finance Ministries, Central Banks and Securities Regulators in the areas of market structure, ESG, trading, risk management, data and digital finance issues.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas and build strong relationships across sectors.A passion for public policy, finance, and technology — and an ability to connect the dots between them.Fluent Portuguese, English and Spanish required.Resumes must be submitted in English to be consideredBloomberg is an equal opportunity employer and we value diversity at our company.
