Azumo is looking for a highly motivated Senior Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in React, Node and GraphQL each. This remote position is based in Latin America and requires working in the EST/PST time zone. As a key engineer in the web team, you should excel with minimal technical supervision, embrace time constraints, and work with team members to deliver high‑quality products and features. You will enjoy the role if you love delivering well‑factored and tested JavaScript applications.
Responsibilities
* Enhance existing Typescript and JavaScript code‑base
* Architect the application and collaborate with the team to integrate with third‑party APIs and services
* Design the overall application framework, including component hierarchy, authentication, error handling, etc.
* Implement the front‑end build, deployment and CI pipeline
* Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions
* Design client‑side and server‑side architecture
Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
* 7+ years of experience in software development
* Solid experience with JavaScript frameworks (e.G., Angular, React, Node.Js)
* 5+ years of experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS and front‑end coding skills
* 5+ years of experience in React and GraphQL each
* Self‑driven and motivated, with a strong work ethic and a passion for problem solving
Preferred Qualifications:
* Knowledge of multiple back‑end languages (e.G., C#, Java, Python)
* Knowledge of multiple front‑end languages and libraries (e.G., HTML/CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery)
* BS or Master’s degree in Computer Science, related degree, or equivalent experience
* Some experience with back‑end development (Java or Node.Js)
* Prior experience with building RESTful web services
* Experience writing SQL and using NoSQL databases
* Experience with automated testing (TDD, mocking, unit/functional/integration)
* Familiarity with databases (e.G., MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.G., Apache) and UI/UX design
* An analytical mind
* Degree in Computer Science, Statistics or related field
