This role involves overseeing patent filing requests, collaborating with clients, translators, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery. Responsibilities include budgeting, scheduling, docketing, document submission, and quality assurance.
We are seeking a skilled Patent Paralegal Project Manager to coordinate various aspects of patent filings, including coordinating filings of EP/international and foreign patent applications and related correspondence from filing to issuance of grant.
Key responsibilities:
* Preparing all documents required in connection with EP, PCT and foreign applications.
* Proactively initiating the preparation of responses to official communications and notifications.
* Coordinating filings of EP/international and foreign patent applications and related correspondence from filing to issuance of grant.
* Monitoring all assigned cases and proactively ensuring that all related deadlines are met in a timely manner.
Essential skills and qualifications:
* 1-2 years of experience as a patent paralegal in either a law firm or corporate setting.
* Experience working with EP, PCT and foreign applications.
* Strong organizational, leadership and management abilities.
* Significant experience managing complex projects.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Successful track record of successful collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications:
* Strong experience implementing translation tools into existing workflows.
* Comfort working with CAT tools (memoQ fluency a plus) and various Machine Translation engines.
* Ability to define processes and standards for translation and quality assurance.
* Skilled at training internal and external users in MTPE & TM workflows.
* Skilled at vendor recruitment and negotiations.
