What you'll do:
As an Area Ops Manager, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of day-to-day administrative, financial, personnel, and procedural activities for product and service operations. This includes developing and improving operations, implementing common management processes, and using organizational resources. Your role will be essential in reviewing cost and service structures, efficiency measures, and delivery methods to achieve planned targets. You will act as a key point of contact between management and staff, ensuring seamless communication and coordination across departments. Lead operations for Viasat in Brazil, influencing communication services in diverse locations.
The day-to-day:
- Manage administrative, financial, personnel, and procedural activities for non-manufacturing operations.
- Lead efforts to develop and improve processes, implementing common management services.
- Coordinate cost and service structures, efficiency measures, and delivery methods to achieve targets.
- Act as a point of contact between management and staff.
- Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure efficient operation.
- Implement methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for projects and programs.
- Communicate organizational vision and goals to all levels within multiple areas.
- Establish operational objectives, delegate assignments, and make continuous improvements.
- Demonstrate leadership and influence across the organization.
What you'll need:
- 5+ years of leading teams and managing a diverse set of resources and driving execution while maintaining a positive work environment.
- Experience leading challenging situations with confidence.
- Ability to influence others even outside your reporting line, and mentor emerging leaders within the organization.
- Experience in optimizing processes and leverage AI to automate repetitive actions will help improve efficiency and achieve outstanding results.
- Fluency in both Portuguese and English and ability to effective communication across multicultural teams and global stakeholders.
