About the Project:
Turing is recruiting participants for a research program using wearable technology to improve AI understanding of manual labor.
Our goal is to collect high-quality data to advance human-centered AI research and development.
The project focuses on recording daily activities, such as woodworking, building, or fabrication routines, to better understand the intricacies of manual labor.
Requirements:
* Wear a head-mounted camera to capture daily activities for 5 separate days within a 2-week window
* Record a minimum of 7 hours per day, with flexibility to take breaks and pause the camera for privacy
Participant Requirements:
* Must work indoors in non-customer-facing roles (e.g., not retail or child care)
* Participants who share the same workplace or household should both have a camera mounted during the activity
* Preferably engaged in manual or creative work (e.g., chef, baker, artist, carpenter, musician, electrician, mechanic)
* Must be self-employed or have employer consent to record in the work environment
* Able to use a computer for basic tasks such as reviewing and uploading video clips
Technical Requirements:
* Must have access to a computer and internet connection
* Comfortable using web-based tools for uploading and reviewing clips (training will be provided)
