Position Overview
Client's IT organization is seeking an experienced
System Architect – Design System
to lead the architecture, design, and end-to-end implementation of enterprise-scale design system solutions. This architect will translate business needs into scalable technical architectures, enforce enterprise standards, and guide development teams through solution execution. As a senior technical leader, this role drives architectural governance, evaluates emerging technologies, and mentors cross-functional engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Solution Design
Architect and validate enterprise-grade software and design system solutions.
Create architecture artifacts, diagrams, reference models, and technical specifications.
Ensure solutions meet performance, availability, and security standards.
Technical Leadership
Lead engineering teams through complex technical challenges and solution delivery.
Provide mentorship, guidance, and architectural oversight to developers and technical leads.
Conduct design reviews, code reviews, and integration planning.
Requirements Translation
Translate business and UX requirements into well-defined technical designs.
Define system interactions, data flows, integration points, and component-level architecture.
Governance & Standards
Enforce adherence to Client's enterprise architecture standards and development guidelines.
Participate in architecture governance forums and lead solution approval processes.
Future-State & Scalability Planning
Develop future-state architecture strategies that ensure scalability, performance, and compliance.
Recommend improvements that reduce technical debt and increase architectural maturity.
Implementation Oversight
Oversee development lifecycle activities to ensure high-quality, consistent implementation.
Troubleshoot complex issues across front-end, back-end, and integration layers.
Strategic Contribution
Influence and contribute to Client's technology roadmap and long-term digital strategy.
Drive innovation and promote adoption of modern frameworks, tools, and best practices.
Required Qualifications
15+ years
of experience in software engineering, architecture, and solution design.
Extensive experience with
Adobe Experience Manager (AEM 6.5)
including component development and system integration.
6–7 years of front-end experience
with Angular (19+ preferred), NgRx, and modern UI frameworks (Tailwind, Angular Material, PrimeNG).
10+ years of back-end experience
with Java, .NET, Spring Boot, REST services, and database technologies.
Strong understanding of software design patterns, microservices, cloud platforms (AWS or Azure), and security frameworks.
Hands-on experience with DevOps tools including Git, Maven, NPM, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks (JUnit, Jest, etc.).
Excellent communication, system documentation, architecture presentation, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience aligning solutions with enterprise roadmaps and long-term architecture strategies.
Background in architectural maturity assessment and technical debt remediation.
Demonstrated success in team mentorship, innovation leadership, and technology evangelism.
