The purpose of the Sales Office Manager's role combines administrative duties with a strong level of management and leadership shown to all. This role includes overseeing and coordinating the administrative function, ensuring the Sales and Customer Success teams are fully equipped with the necessary tools and skills needed to be successful in their roles. The focus will be to enable the department to maximise every opportunity, bringing the passion of Ace Express to our customers and be a true ambassador for the company. The role will also include a marketing element. By supporting the development of both the Sales & Customer Success teams, we will empower and develop talent within the Company and ensure colleagues are equipped to achieve their objectives more quickly, helping Ace Express to fulfil its goals and vision.
Duties And Responsibilities
Assist the Commercial Director with the day-to-day co-ordination and management of the Customer Success and Business Development teams.
* Produce and review of reports as required.
* Take ownership & develop the on-boarding programs for new customers.
* Assist in the implementation of systems and procedures (Azyra) that will result in improved efficiencies within both teams.
* Developing and generation of timely sales and margin performance reports in line with business requirements.
* Help motivate and encourage the Sales Department collectively to achieve its objectives.
* Assist in Sales staff recruitment, training, management, appraisals. Install a culture of accountability and continuous improvement and development of the wider team.
* Planning and execution of yearly events and campaigns, e.g., conferences and customer gifting.
* Generation of weekly reports for internal and external customers.
* Working on and delivering sales/business templates that improve productivity and process flow.
* Implementing, monitoring and reporting on onboarding of new business, clients.
* Managing staff holidays, time off, etc., plus complete ad hoc duties, when required.
* Ensure that Commercial Director is kept informed of all key issues.
* Attend customer meetings, when and as required; also attending and representing the sales team at T3 meetings.
Marketing Support
* Assist with planning and implement strategic sales & marketing plans in line with company strategy.
* To promote the brand and services of Ace Express Freight in line with best marketing practices.
* Reviewing all sales and marketing material to ensure it is kept in line with current sales and marketing requirements, including website, platforms, and outbound communications.
* To ensure that marketing budget is maintained within agreed limits.
Experience & Skills / Competencies
* Strong reporting skills, with ability to generate reports on CRM, Excel, Azyra, etc.
* Strong Business to Business background.
* Ability to cope under pressure in a fast-paced environment and deliver projects, reports, and proposals within defined time scales.
* Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work collaboratively to develop and deliver appropriate solutions.
* Organisation and planning skills.
* Strong relationship building and influencing skills.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and information to a range of audiences and stakeholders.
* Experience in providing effective line management and/or project team management to achieve complex or high priority objectives and develop others personally and professionally.

* Previous experience in developing and managing successful marketing campaigns.
* Management and customer service/sales team training, and reporting.
* Strong Business to Business background.
* At least three years working in a similar role in the Freight/Logistics/Transport industry.
