Founding Product Designer Opportunity
This is a high-impact role for an experienced product designer who can shape the core product experience of a newly founded startup.
The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio of interactive web/mobile prototypes and demonstrated ability to translate abstract or clinical problems into elegant design solutions.
The product designer will collaborate directly with the founding team to understand their workflow, pain points, and goals, and lead them through the end-to-end product design process.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the founding team to understand their workflow, pain points, and goals.
* Translate early concepts and requirements into user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity interactive prototypes.
* Lead the founding team through the end-to-end product design process, from research through prototyping.
* Iterate designs based on feedback from medical professionals and internal stakeholders.
* Brief non-technical founders and technical teams on design rationale.
* Build the design foundation for future product development, including design systems and component libraries.
Requirements:
* Based in Brazil (CNPJ required) and advanced/fluent in English.
* 5+ years of experience in UX/UI or product design, with a strong portfolio of interactive web/mobile prototypes.
* Demonstrated ability to translate abstract or clinical problems into elegant design solutions.
* Proficiency with advanced prototyping tools (Figma, Adobe XD, Origami, etc).
* Excellent collaboration and communication skills, especially with non-technical stakeholders.
* Strong ownership mentality, working closely with real users (doctors) to solve meaningful problems in patient care.
* Have interest in learning, stretching, and growing into new areas.
Bonus Points:
* Having engineering experience developing SaaS applications.
* Having engineering/product leadership experience.
* Knowledge of design for communication tools or messaging apps.
* Experience working with healthcare-related platforms.
* Experience working with early-stage startups.
* Familiarity with US-based HIPAA regulations and health tech security standards.
* Ability to support adjacent startup functions such as cloud infrastructure setup, DevOps and CI/CD pipelines, basic QA/testing processes, early-stage engineering contributions, and product operations.
