Electric Engineer Bilingüe Mdm - This role is the critical link between field data collection and official permitting requirements for cities, counties, DOT agencies, and private utilities. The specialist will convert field measurements into accurate CAD drawings, prepare complete permit packages, and ensure compliance with all jurisdictional standards. This position requires strong technical drafting abilities, mapping skills, and exceptional attention to detail. Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & DraftingCreate accurate permit drawings in AutoCAD, including intersections, existing utilities, proposed fiber routes, plan and profile views, and jurisdiction-specific layouts. Place aerial and underground utility infrastructure on maps based on field measurements. Produce drawings from scratch following customer and municipal standards. Data IntegrationInterpret raw field notes, measurements, and utility data collected by field technicians. Translate field information into detailed, scaled CAD drawings. GIS MappingUtilize GIS platforms such as ArcGIS, ESRI, or QGIS to manage spatial data and align routes with utility grids. Maintain accurate digital mapping and update files as needed. Permit Lifecycle ManagementPrepare, submit, and track permit applications across City, County, State DOT, and private utility agencies. Ensure submissions comply with Right-of-Way (ROW) guidelines and utility franchise requirements. Quality ControlValidate drawings for accuracy, scale, and adherence to customer and jurisdictional requirements. Integrate revisions, cost changes, and as-built updates into drawings. CollaborationCoordinate with field technicians and project managers to clarify data, resolve conflicting information, and gather missing details. Submit completed permit drawings to clients and manage revision requests. Required QualificationsMinimum 2 years of permitting experience (Fiber, Power, Gas, or Water). Proven experience creating maps, drawings, and permit submissions for utility projects. AutoCAD expertise must be able to create drawings from scratch. Experience with GIS tools: ArcGIS, ESRI, or QGIS. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook. Strong ability to interpret field notes, measurements, and utility infrastructure layouts. U. S. permitting experience strongly preferred; candidates with this background will be prioritized. English Level C1 Preferred Candidate ProfileRequires minimal training and can quickly become productive. Comfortable working on-site, especially during the initial phase. Capable of managing multiple permits and deadlines simultaneously. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with field and project teams.
