OverviewJoin to apply for the Medical Science Liaison role at Sanofi. Location: Recife / Brasilia. Field-based work model.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly motivated and visionary scientific leader to serve as a MSL with expertise in Autoimmune Type 1 Diabetes. This role combines deep scientific expertise with strategic thinking to enhance the identification and management of people at risk of developing T1D, emphasizing the benefits of early detection and the use of new immunomodulators.Scientific Leadership & KOL EngagementServe as trusted scientific partner to key external experts (including KOLs, endocrinologists, pediatricians, and other scientific stakeholders), establishing and maintaining robust, long-term peer relationshipsConduct high-touch scientific exchange with experts from Centers of Excellence and beyond to convey a compelling and highly scientific narrative on T1D disease stages, importance of screening and treatmentEngage with experts to share scientific data, answer product-specific questions, and support them in developing best practices (e.G., infusion protocols)Link internal partners to external thought leaders for education and research collaborationDisseminate innovative medical education materials and foster medical/scientific information exchange within the medical communityTailor engagement to different stakeholder segments based on comprehensive stakeholder mapping and local go-to-market modelWork with cross-functional teams to leverage an omnichannel approach, orchestrating high-touch and personalized engagement across innovative channels (e.G., social media, peer-to-peer communities, online portals)Early Detection StrategyCollaborate with medical teams to develop and implement evidence-based screening and monitoring protocolsProvide scientific expertise in the development of risk-identification strategiesSupport the adaptation of global screening and monitoring strategies to local contextsContribute to the scientific validation of new testing methodologies and channelsEngage with experts to promote best practices in screening and early interventionPromote experience sharing among key external experts to reinforce consensus on screening and treatment protocols at local levelStrategic ImplementationPartner with cross-functional teams in agile settings with self-organized teams around main customer accounts to improve patient pathways and remove barriersProvide scientific input on screening partnerships and initiativesGather and analyze field insights to inform medical strategy and screening programsSupport Market Access teams in evidence-based discussions with regional payers, drug formulary committees, and key account decision-makers on clinical value and health economicsCoordinate and direct requests for ISS, RCT, Managed Access Programs to appropriate teamsKeep up-to-date on medical and scientific developments in the Type 1 Diabetes fieldIndividual ContributorsMaintain knowledge of and comply with the principles of Ethics and Integrity, Sanofi policies, and codes of conduct that regulate the pharmaceutical market.Comply with and promote Sanofi's Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies, with the objective of preventing accidents, avoiding health risks, promoting employee well-being, and reducing environmental impacts resulting from work activities.Support Sanofi's Diversity and Inclusion strategy and initiatives to ensure that all employees and partners are treated with respect and receive equal opportunities.QualificationsExperienceMinimum 3 years experience as MSL in Specialty / Rare disease / Type 1 Diabetes areaExperience in T1D or immunology highly preferredBackground in clinical research or academic settingExperience with population health initiatives or screening programs is a plusSoft capabilitiesTechnical SkillsAdvanced understanding of T1D clinical science and current researchExpertise in interpreting and communicating complex scientific dataKnowledge of screening methodologies and monitoring protocolsUnderstanding of healthcare systems and population health approachesEducationAdvanced degree required (MD, PharmD, PhD) in relevant scientific or medical fieldAdditional
