Regulatory Researcher Role
A fully remote position is available for an experienced Regulatory Researcher to join a global support provider's Tax & Regulations team.
About the Position:
The successful candidate will focus on researching and tracking global trade regulations, primarily across LATAM and North America, and contribute insights that help keep SAP GTS systems up-to-date for global clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Stay current with legislative and regulatory changes in assigned countries using government websites, agencies, third-party sources, and in-country experts.
* Monitor global trade compliance regulations, including customs duties, export controls, sanctions, tariff updates, and other relevant requirements across jurisdictions (U.S., Canada, LATAM, etc.).
* Analyze, document, and interpret new or amended legislation with high accuracy and clarity.
* Prepare comparative analyses of regulatory changes as required.
* Evaluate research and documentation against ISO process standards.
SAP GTS Alignment:
* Provide insights relevant to SAP GTS (v11 or similar), supporting product specialists on topics such as:
* Export Control & Licensing
* Import Control & Market Access
* Sanctions & Restricted Party Compliance
* Customs & Tariff Management
* Trade Agreements & Origin Management
* Regulatory Reporting & Declarations
* Product & Classification Compliance
Required Qualifications:
* Bilingual: English + one LATAM language (Spanish or Portuguese).
* 5+ years of professional experience in tax, global trade, or international regulatory research.
* Working knowledge of SAP GTS or similar trade compliance systems.
* Familiarity with international trade laws and frameworks (EAR, ITAR, EU Dual Use, WCO, etc.).
