Role type: Full-time, full remote (Brazil)Salary Range: $1,800–$2,500 USD / monthTimezone: ETWe are seeking a detail-oriented Project Accountant with strong experience in construction accounting to support financial operations across multiple projects.This role requires someone who is highly organized, experienced in industry-specific processes, and comfortable working with project teams to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting.Key Responsibilities- Manage project-level accounting, including budgeting, cost tracking, and financial reporting- Prepare and process AIA pay applications and track progress billing- Monitor project costs, job costing, and variance analysis- Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks- Collaborate with project managers to ensure budgets and financials are aligned- Handle accounts payable and receivable related to construction projects- Reconcile accounts and ensure timely month-end close processes- Support compliance with contract terms and financial requirementsRequirements- Proven experience in construction accounting- Strong knowledge of AIA billing and pay applications- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks- Experience using Procore or similar construction management software- Strong understanding of job costing and project-based accounting- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines- Fluent in English (spoken and written)Nice to Have- Experience working with U.S.-based construction companies- Familiarity with lien waivers, retainage, and subcontractor billing- Advanced Excel skillsWhat We’re Looking ForThis role is ideal for someone who understands the nuances of construction accounting and can independently manage project finances with accuracy and efficiency.
